  • Overview

    WOOD is seeking an Editor/Writer (junior-level) to support its Technical Publication and Editing Services contract with the Federal Aviation Administration.  The Technical Editors/Writers should have at least 3 years of experience with Documentation publication, proofing, editing and drafting of professional documents, forms and other official publications 

    Primary Work Location: L'Enfant Plaza, Washington D.C. 

    Responsibilities

    • The Technical Writer/Editor will format and edit documents for FAA coordination and publication
    • The Technical Writer/Editor will check acronyms, references, and grammar within documents according to the GPO Style Guide and coordinate documents through the publication life-cycle
    • Throughout the publication life-cycle you will incorporate edits received from your Team Lead, Program Manager, and FAA
    • Selected candidate will be required to update statuses within the SharePoint site

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, Journalism, History, or Political Science and three (3) years of editing/writing experience. Editing/writing experience must be 90 percent of the daily responsibilities.
    • A Master’s degree in Education, English, Journalism, History, or Political Science can be substituted for two (2) years of experience.
