  • Overview

    WOOD is currently hiring a Systems Engineer to join our team in Annapolis Junction, MD area. The Systems Engineer will provide systems engineering to support to the customer program.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide technical services to maximize PAC’s use of virtual resources in addition to optimizing the performance and availability of PAC infrastructure
    • Develop, maintain, and execute Program Management System with the objective of delivering all of the required capabilities and satisfy all requirements on time, within budget, and on plan
    • Project risk identification and mitigation status, and other issues associated with this activity while maximizing the visibility of the program to PAC Management
    • Process engineering services for the development, design, processing, operations, and sustainment of PAC’s Corporate Virtual Infrastructure
    • Gather, review, analyze, and report on mission functions and services to Management, including identifying and drafting business cases to address any issues that could impact operations
    • Analyze the network overlay, data transformation, and distribution architecture for cloud systems and provide security recommendations for improvements
    • Draft and manage project schedules to track project activities and provide it to Management
    • Monitor system information and identify actionable items to execute notifications, track, and manage actions
    • Develop and update technical documentation related to system configuration, mapping, process, service records, and the creation and maintenance of system baselines and versions within one month of significant system changes and within one week of security-relevant changes

    Qualifications

     

    *All Candidates must have a TS/SCI clearance with a Polygraph

     

    • Ten (10) years' systems engineering experience supporting DoD/IC programs
    • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering (Communications, Computer, or Electrical), Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or similar degree and meets the experience requirements, or equivalent documented combination of training and experience
      • Four (4) years of additional systems engineering experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree
      • A Master's degree in a qualifying engineering field may be substituted for two (2) years of experience, thereby reducing the requirement to five (5) years of experience in facilitation, training, methodology development and evaluation, process engineering across all phases of acquisition identifying best practices, change management, business management techniques, organizational development, activity and data modeling, or information system development methods and practices
    • Demonstrated systems engineering experience, particularly in the areas of architecture, testing, and integration.
    • Experience in documenting system design from approved requirements
    • Experience with conducting technical reviews, analyses of alternative capabilities/technologies, technical/programmatic risk assessments, and architectural gap analyses
    • Successful candidates will be detail oriented and exhibit strong organization skills; must have strong interpersonal and communication skills, including demonstrated ability to comfortably interact with all levels of organization management while operating in a dynamic environment with minimal supervision
