  • Overview

    WOOD is currently hiring a Systems Engineer to join our team in Annapolis Junction, MD area. The Systems Engineer will gather requirements for logical and conceptual data models using a local model methodology.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide engineering guidance to find, access, review, and process multi-domain data sources
    • Engage with analysts and engineers to determine data applicability and suitability for ingest and processing into the  systems
    • Perform complex algorithmic analysis of multiple raw and fused data sets to determine potential heretofore unknown linkages between dissimilar datasets
    • Provide query SIGINT and ELINE-centric systems to ascertain C4ISR data on mission infrastructure
    • Travel to customer sites to receive software demonstrations, view pertinent dataset, and engage in substantive discussions with analysts on a myriad of topics for
    • Coordinate, meet, and hold Technical Peer Reviews with Subject Matter Experts (SME) and Stakeholder communities to discuss requirements and models developed
    • Define and analyze data requirements, map legacy data stores and formats to logical data model concepts.

     

    Qualifications

    *All Candidates must have a TS/SCI clearance with a Polygraph

    • Twenty (15) years' systems engineering experience supporting IC programs
    • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering (Communications, Computer, or Electrical), Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or similar degree and meets the experience requirements, or equivalent documented combination of training and experience
      • Four (4) years of additional systems engineering experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree
      • A Master's degree or PhD in a qualifying engineering field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university with a minimum of (13) years of general systems engineering experience
    • Demonstrated systems engineering experience, particularly in the areas of architecture, testing, and integration.
    • Experience in documenting system design from approved requirements
    • Experience with conducting technical reviews, analyses of alternative capabilities/technologies, technical/programmatic risk assessments, and architectural gap analyses
    • Successful candidates will be detail oriented and exhibit strong organization skills; must have strong interpersonal and communication skills, including demonstrated ability to comfortably interact with all levels of organization management while operating in a dynamic environment with minimal supervision
