  • Overview

    WOOD is currently hiring a Systems Engineer to join our team in the Ft. Meade, MD area. The Systems Engineer provide for the insertion and removal of technology into the customer's enterprise architecture.


    • Coordinate all activities pertaining to the planning and execution of technology transition into and out of the customer's enterprise architecture

    • Provide systems engineering services that evaluate and manage the current technology transition requirements and processes and propose changes necessary to enable customer corporate decision making processes
    • Responsible for the documentation, evolution, maintenance, execution and publication of the technology transition processes to include all technology transition activities
    • Assist in the governance, development, documentation and review of the processes as directed by the Government
    • Independently analyze, and recommend alternatives for elements of project’s technical design


    *All Candidates must have a TS/SCI clearance with a Polygraph

    • Six (6) years' systems engineering experience supporting DoD/IC programs. 
    • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering (Communications, Computer, or Electrical), Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or similar degree and meets the experience requirements, or equivalent documented combination of training and experience.
      • Four (4) years of additional systems engineering experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree
      • A Master's degree in a qualifying engineering field may be substituted for two (2) years of experience, thereby reducing the requirement to four (4) years of experience
    • Two (2) years of experience supporting programs and projects within this customer space.
    • Experience in writing and/or managing functional or system-level requirements.

    Individual Capabilities Desired:

    • Experience in:
      • The transition and decommission of legacy software systems.
      • The creation and refinement of corporate-level processes.
      • Producing and/or interpreting architectural documentation.
