  • Overview

    WOOD is currently hiring a Senior Computer Scientist in Columbia, MD.  The Senior Computer Scientist will support ad-hoc development efforts relating to ALLSPARK software development (analyze, design, develop, and test).




    • Support front line systems engineering
    • Develop software on VMs
    • Work with relational databases such as MySQL
    • Utilizes Java and Python
    • Writes system documentation


    *All Candidates must have a TS/SCI clearance with a Polygraph

    • Minimum of seven (7) years of computer science experience with high-level language software programming.
    • Within the last seven (7) years, a minimum of five (5) years’ experience with designing, coding, testing, and debugging software to run under either Microsoft Windows (XP or later) or UNIX (Solaris 8 or later, Red Hat LINUX) Operating System.
    • Within the last seven (7) years, a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in at least one (1) of the specializations: 
      • Programming/Scripting Languages 
      • Presentation (Client/Web)
      • Database Management
      • Web Technologies
      • Software Test/Integration
      • Systems Interfacing
      • Data Formatting
      • Middleware (Business Tier)
      • Frameworks
      • XML Technologies
      • Development Environment
    • Apache Tomcat experience.
    • Experience with RESTful interfaces.
    • Experience with SW CM (Git preferred).
    • Familiar with Gradle.
    • Experience with Jenkins.
