    WOOD is actively seeking Statisticians and Data Scientists with experience supporting the Intel Community.  The Data Scientist will be focused on BI Data collection framework/methodologies and will include-Web Analytics, Search Analytics, Content and Feedback Analytics, Business Operations, Non-Standard Product and Cloud analytics.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide direct support to the System Analysts, Architects, Business Intelligence Analysts and Data Science Analysts by recommending Business Intelligence (BI) data to collect
    • Provide support in collecting customer usage data associated with Web-based GEOINT services 
    • Structure and review BI data and perform regular quality control and health assessment on the collected data
    • Perform analysis on collected BI data and build dataset profiles. Analysis shall include reviewing data for answers to key business intelligence questions. Work with various stakeholders to develop business questions and identify the data necessary to analyze to answer those questions
    • Build out the Business Intelligence collection framework and adjust collection strategy based on government direction and priorities
    • Perform web analytics on key web sites, to include collecting, measuring, and reporting on web data for the purposes of understanding and optimizing the data
    • Provide support on ingesting of web analytics and/or application web data to make recommendations for automating the collection, integration, analysis, and reporting of the data
    • Perform search analytics and target the analysis and aggregation of search engine statistics
    • Perform content analytics on collected BI data to include analyzing meaning and context and provide new insights into the data. Provide insights that will be used to inform decisions and agency operational strategies, in partnership with teams examining Website design, customer interactions, featured content, and future products and services
    • Provide statistical and mathematical support in assisting in the analysis and interpretation of a wide range of data to help understand and improve the customer's experience
    • Leverage a range of data sources (e.g., Web traffic, customer requests for information, survey responses, production databases, etc.) for an understanding of what drives a positive customer experience
    • Perform production system analytics to understand the ways in which customers are accessing and using content generated by critical Production Systems
    • Perform BI requirements management to include: 
      • Supporting the tracking of customer requirements and tasks for data collection, data operations and reporting via JIRA or Redmine
      • Reporting status of customer requirements and tasks for data collection, data operations and reporting to customer.
      • Evaluating new requirements and providing technical assessments on feasibility and level of effort to accomplish/implement.
    • Support server log instrumentation and collection (architecture and deployment).
    • Support web site instrumentation and collection (architecture and deployment).
    • Support collecting of BI data via available API call, Elastic Search or similar service.
    • Experience working on Intelligence Community or Department of Defense offices and programs.

    Qualifications

    Active TS/SCI with Poly necessary

    • Experience using Microsoft Office Applications, data mining, develop and manipulate, and maintain databases
    • Demonstrated experience using COTS statistical software (SPSS, SAS, MatLab etc.), COTS desktop software (MS Office and Access), and the Windows operating environment
    • Demonstrated experience using software packages for advanced statistical analysis of operational data and tools for data visualization
    • Bachelor’s Degree of Science degree higher or 10+ years experience within GEOINT and/or Techncial support related field
