  • Overview

    WOOD is currently hiring a cleared (TS/SCI with Poly) Software Engineer, Level 1 to support our team in Ft. Meade, MD. The Software Engineer will provide web development and software services to support enterprise applications related to cyber operations. 

    Responsibilities

    • Designs, creates, tests and maintains web sites and content that enrich and optimize the exchange of information and produce effective communications between customers
    • Interacts with leadership to gather and define requirements
    • Analyzes requirements and, unless mandated, determines the most effective web technologies to satisfy their needs
    • Coordinates creation and collection of necessary technology components and integrate them into a coherent site design
    • Designs and develops visually-pleasing, content rich, user-friendly interfaces with intuitive navigation
    • Delivers comprehensive web site solutions to satisfy customer requirements and will troubleshoot software problems and provide solutions to overcome those problems
    • Maintains configuration management

    Qualifications

    *All Candidates must have a TS/SCI clearance with a Polygraph

    • Four (4) years' experience as a web developer using object oriented coding such as: Java or CGI, VB, HTML, XML
    • Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautics, Biomedical, Chemical, Civil, Computer, Electrical, Environmental, Mechanical, Nuclear, Software, Systems, and Engineering Management, Chemistry, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, and Physics
      • Four (4) years of additional systems engineering experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree
      • A Master's degree in a qualifying engineering field may be substituted for two (2) years of experience, thereby reducing the requirement to two (2) years of experience

    Individual Capabilities Desired:

    • Write and maintain website technical documentation to assist with website maintenance and upgrades
