    WOOD Consulting Services is hiring a Financial Program Control Analyst at our Headquarters in Fulton, MD.  This person will maintain responsibility for detailed financial and administrative activities, including analyzing budgeting, reporting, and estimating for moderate-sized programs, organizations, or proposals. Perform cost or schedule variance analysis and provide resulting recommendations. Participate in budget analyzing and monitor expenses. Prepare or assist with the preparation of cost-to-completes. Assist with preparing estimates. Interpret and implement customer requirements for moderately complex cost proposals.

    Responsibilities

    1. Interface with program and functional management to provide financial support and analysis
    2. Develop estimates-to-complete, estimates-at-completion and burn rate analysis.
    3. Report monthly actuals and provide variance explanations along with recommendations for improvement
    4. Prepare program CDRL’s including FMHERs, Award Fee Reporting and other program related reporting
    5. Review Requests For Proposals (RFP’s) and develop compliant cost/pricing proposals
    6. Supports the preparation and coordination of financial forecasting and reporting.
    7. Supports the preparation of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP)
    8. Support negotiations with the Government and industry prime contractors
    9. Setup and maintain projects in ERP system according to customer Work Breakdown Structure.
    10. Understands how job costs are collected and invoiced on different contract types (CPFF, T&M, FFP/LOE)
    11. Perform special projects as requested

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field
    • Must have strong Excel abilities
    • Must be analytical, possess excellent communications skills and have the ability to work independently and as a member of team
    • 4 years relevant experience in a Government Contractor environment
    • Deltek Costpoint experience preferred

    WORKING CONDITIONS

     

    Usual office working conditions. The noise level in the work area is typical of most office environments.

     

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

     

    While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, communicate, reach and manipulate objects, tools or controls. The position requires mobility. Minimum physical exertion. Duties involve moving materials weighing up to 5 pounds on a regular basis and may infrequently require moving materials weighing up to 25 pounds. Manual dexterity and coordination are required less than 50% of the work period while operating equipment such as computer keyboard, calculator, and standard office equipment.
