  • Overview

    WOOD is currently hiring a Process Engineer to join our team in Ft. Meade, MD.  The Process Engineer will provide process improvement to the customer division in support of Cyber operations, and it includes supporting methodology development and evaluation on process engineering best practices within the cyber-security mission space



    • Provide analytic support to evaluate and identify gaps and inefficiencies in cyber mitigation strategies, tactics, and operations
    • Collect, record, and transcribe data in support of identifying the root cause in performance shortfalls and will consult in using process improvement techniques to drive performance and quality
    • Facilitate and orchestrate group participation and conduct interviews while supporting enterprise wide integration of process improvement effort
    • Educate others on assessment/evaluation processes, benefits, and potential uses, and the PE will provide timely and accurate responses to requests for assistance, information, products, or services
    • Evaluate existing processes to address problems with process work flows, organizational structure and alignment, and planning
    • Assist not only in defining Process Improvement strategies and lessons learned, but will also assist in planning and execution of process improvement initiatives such as Lean Six Sigma and Project management Institute methods
    • Utilize Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN) tools and to work with customers to clarify their needs and to determine how their needs can be met
    • Diagram/evaluate existing processes, recommending improvement for implementation, and provide cost-benefit analysis to measure performance against process requirements
    • Develop process optimization plans for process assessments and analyze organizational/project performance indicators to identify key areas for improvement
    • Provide submission of Weekly Activity Reports (WAR)


    *All Candidates must have a TS/SCI clearance with a Polygraph

    • Five (5) years' systems engineering experience supporting DoD/IC programs
    • Experience is to include, within the past five (5) years, three (3) years experience in facilitation, training, methodology development and evaluation, process engineering across all phases of acquisition identifying best practices, change management, business management techniques, organizational development, activity and data modeling, or information system development methods and practices
    • A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, business, or education from an accredited college or university is required
    • Experience working with customer operations or other Cyber Operations center
    • Experience in documenting and assessing processes
