  • Overview


    WOOD is currently hiring a Web Developer to support our team in Laurel, MD. The Web Developer will be developing custom programs for web sites that will attract and appeal to users, and provide desired information. This opportunity requires a current TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.  



    • Creates web applications and components from the requirements stage, through design, through production deployment.
    • Possesses a thorough knowledge of programming and server software operations.
    • Develops new Web applications through packaged and customized applications.
    • Creates Web front-end user interface to new or existing databases using a combination of HTML, SQL, or other languages to make business applications accessible.
    • Designs and implements user-driven web applications and interfaces for ease of use.
    • May create company-wide Intranet.
    • Develops database-driven Web interfaces for rapid, real-time information sharing.
    • Develops external Web portals allowing users to input and retrieve accurate information. 


    *All Candidates must have a TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph

    • Four (4) years of experience as a Web developer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
    • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
      • Four (4) years of additional Web development experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree
    • Web Development experience:

      • Design, Development, Troubleshooting, Debugging, and Implementing within a web environment
      • Strong JavaScript skills
      • HTML skills
      • CSS Knowledge


    • Graphics design using Adobe Suite and Technical writing skills a plus but not necessary.
