Overview

System Engineer Level 4 

Responsibilities

  • Member of the Enterprise Standards Support team responsible for providing subject matter expertise, research and recommendations relating to candidate Information Assurance (IA) standards that would influence and be applied in the DoD/IC domain in the area of Information Technology (IT) infrastructure.
  • This position requires organizing meetings and interacting with other subject matter experts in the DoD community to address IA standards-related IT issues and impacts, including architecture, interoperability, implementation, and testing.
  • Candidate will weigh the impacts and issues relating to recommending the end-of-life for various legacy IA standards and the extensive writing of documents to support this effort, including Standards Selection Justification documents and DoD Information Technology Standards Registry (DISR) Change Requests (CRs) as well as participating in DISR Technical Working Groups (TWGs).
  • The candidate will provide application support to other internal team members and contribute to the production of required contract deliverables.

Qualifications

*All Candidates must have a TS/SCI clearance with a Full Scope Polygraph

  • Ten (10) years' systems engineering experience supporting DoD/IC programs. 
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering (Communications, Computer, or Electrical), Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or similar degree and meets the experience requirements, or equivalent documented combination of training and experience.
    • A Master's degree in a qualifying engineering field may be substituted for two (2) years of experience, thereby reducing the requirement to eight (8) years of experience
  • Intelligence Community experience is required as well as Engineering Analysis skills.
  • Applicant should have a sound understanding of Information Assurance and the related issues and standards.
  • Applicant should be familiar with standards and their use and have a working knowledge of the DoD Information Technology Standards Registry (DISR).
  • Strong writing, presentation and communications skills are required.
