Overview: We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Linux Systems Administrator with a strong technical background and at least twenty years of experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining our Linux-based systems, ensuring their stability, performance, and security. If you have a passion for Linux and possess extensive experience in system administration, this role is perfect for you.

Security Clearance Requirements:
This position requires all candidates to be U.S. Citizens and possess an active TS/SCI Security Clearance with a Polygraph.
* Clearance updated within the last five (5) years.
Manage and maintain Linux servers, ensuring their availability, performance, and security.
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
Perform regular system updates, patches, and security configurations.
Implement and maintain backup and recovery solutions.
Automate repetitive tasks using scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Perl.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new systems and services.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations, procedures, and processes.
Provide technical support and guidance to other team members.
Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.
Education & Years of Experience
Required Skills and Abilities
Extensive knowledge of Linux operating systems (e.g., Red Hat, Ubuntu, CentOS).
Strong understanding of network protocols and services (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, SSH).
Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, KVM, Xen).
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Perl.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Certifications such as RHCE, RHCSA, or Linux+ are highly desirable.
