Salary Range: **$160,000 - $200,000

Overview: Are you passionate about safeguarding critical information systems and ensuring robust security measures? Join our team as an Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) and play a pivotal role in protecting our nation’s most sensitive data. The Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) will perform technical security assessments of computing environments to identify vulnerabilities, ensure compliance with Information Assurance (IA) standards, and recommend mitigation strategies. This role involves validating system security requirements, designing secure systems, and integrating IA and security systems across various environments. Experience in lab-based cross domain solutions is essential to effectively manage and secure complex information systems.

Security Clearance Requirements:

This position requires all candidates to be U.S. Citizens and possess an active TS/SCI Security Clearance with a Polygraph.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct technical security assessments to identify vulnerabilities and non-compliance with IA standards.
  • Validate and verify system security requirements and establish security designs.
  • Design, develop, implement, and integrate IA and security systems for networking, computing, and enclave environments.
  • Assist architects and developers in implementing information security functionality.
  • Support the building of security architectures and enforce trusted relationships among external systems.
  • Assess and mitigate system security threats throughout the program life cycle.
  • Contribute to security planning, assessment, risk analysis, and risk management activities.
  • Review certification and accreditation (C&A) documentation for completeness and compliance.
  • Apply expertise in system security engineering across various domains, including cryptography, risk management, and security testing.
  • Support security authorization activities in compliance with NISCAP, DoD RMF, and NIST RMF processes.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • Twenty (20) years of experience as an ISSE.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security System Engineering, or a related discipline.
    • Four (4) years of ISSE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
  • DoD 8570 compliance with IASAE Level 3 is required.
  • Both Information Systems Security Engineering Professional (ISSEP) and CISSP Certifications are required.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Lab based Cross Domain Solution (CDS) experience.
