This is a NIGHT position, 12-hour shifts, 5 pm - 5 am. The days are as follows: Sun/Wed/Thur, Mon/Tues/Fri/Sat then repeat.

 

The ​System Administrator - Shift (SA-S) Skill Level 2 will join a team of similar individuals who work alongside the government on a 24x7 desk to support field sites.

 

Security Clearance Requirements:

This position requires candidates to be U.S. Citizens and possess a TS/SCI Security Clearance with an appropriate Polygraph

Responsibilities

  • Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems.

  • Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems.

  • Manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems.

  • Provide assistance to users in accessing and using IT systems.

  • Provide support for escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.

  • Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, etc.

  • Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning.

  • Monitor and notify according to procedures. Monitor screens and site data for issues.

  • You will provide support for user issues (applications, accesses), physical site issues, dataflow, communications, etc.

Qualifications

Required Education & Years of Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required and ten (10) years' experience as a SA.
    • Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.

Required Certification (possess and maintain one of the following)

  • Microsoft Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Foundation;
  • Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP);
  • CompTIA Linux+;
  • Linux Professional Institute (LPIC) level 1 or higher;
  • Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) certification; or any such equivalent approved by CORT.
  • Contractor must obtain certification within 180 days of being accepted on contract.
