Security Clearance Requirements:

This position requires all candidates to be U.S. Citizens and possess an active TS/SCI Security Clearance with a Polygraph.

Responsibilities

  • Work on a team developing a series of applications that are certified, trusted sources of mission-critical data for decision-making across the enterprise. 
  • Design, build, and maintain databases based on simple requirements.
  • Support UX, middleware and backend database development efforts by collaborating with developers to define and implement technical designs that meet project requirements.
  • Have frequent interactions with customers to gather input and feedback.
  • Maintain and optimize Oracle databases to ensure their reliability, security, and performance. 
  • Monitor database health and performance, addressing any issues promptly. 
  • Work in an agile, fast-paced team, creatively solving customer requirement challenges.
  • Operate with a high degree of independence and initiative, even with limited technical direction.

Qualifications

Required Education & Years of Experience

  • A bachelor’s degree and ten (10) years' experience as a Database Administrator in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required.
    • Fourteen (14) years of experience required In lieu of bachelor’s degree.

Required Skills

  • Experience designing, building, and maintaining a database from simple requirements.
  • Oracle SQL experience and knowledge in areas such as creating tables, SQL queries using unions, joins (inner/outer), complex queries and views.
  • Data modeling experience.
  • Familiarity with Oracle Row Level Security.
  • Experience with data ETL.

Desired Skills

  • Familiarity with AWS RDS.
  • Familiarity with database administrative tasks such as backups, database migrations and cloning and restoring (preferably using AWS RDS).
  • Knowledge of PL/SQL.
  • Familiarity with SQL Developer session/sql monitoring tools.
  • Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite.
  • Experience working with Git for configuration management.
  • Experience working with the JSON format.
