  • Overview

    WOOD is currently hiring a Technical Writer (TW)  to join our team in the Ft. Meade, MD area. The Technical Writer supports two separate offices each with their own distinct missions to produce high-quality documentation that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience.


    • The Technical Writer (TW) will work with internal teams to obtatin an in-depth understanding of the policy and the process documentation requirements
    • As a member of each of the two teams, the TW will write and update materials for process documentation, reports, manuals, and related technical and administrative documents
    • Recommend overall organization depiction, editorial standards, and publication methods


    *All Candidates must have a TS/SCI clearance with a Polygraph

    • Six (6) years' experience as a TW in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required 
    • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required
      • Four (4) years of additional TW experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree

    Individual Capabilities Desired:

    • Solid understanding of current web standards and technologies
    • Familiar with Memorandums of Agreements and policy writing standards
    • Experience creating, integrating, and maintaining JIRA and SharePoint projects
