    WOOD is hiring a Engineer, SME  to join our team in Ft. Meade, MD. The Engineer, SME provides hardware engineering expertise to analyze complex hardware systems, hardware design, architecture, network design and other technical hardware issues.

    Responsibilities

    • Analog design including power supply design, audio circuitry design, and experience with vehicle bus interfaces
    • Digital design including processor/memory interfaces, logic design, and timing analysis
    • High-level logic design using VHDL
    • Hardware debugging techniques
    • Test equipment such as: Digital Sampling Oscilloscopes, High-speed Logic Analyzers, Network Analyzers, and Spectrum Analyzers
    • Schematic entry and working with board layout and assembly vendors to get printed circuit boards built
    • Debug hardware/software integration issues
    • Work with software developers to debug hardware/software integration issues
    • Provide hardware project development support including the generation of new ideas, specifications, analysis of systems, interfacing with communication/network subsystems, and generation of related documentation
    • Provide hardware engineering expertise in a leadership role

    Qualifications

    *All Candidates must have a TS/SCI clearance with a Polygraph

    • Minimum fifteen (15) years’ experience involving hardware engineering activities and eight (8) years’ experience analyzing complex hardware systems for SIGINT solutions, of which a desired eight (8) years of direct experience with an Intelligence Community or Signals Intelligence activity
    • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics or similar degree is required
      • Five (5) years of engineering experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s Degree
