    WOOD is currently hiring a Systems Engineer, Level 5 to join our team in the  Annapolis Junction, MD area. The Systems Engineer  (SE) will provide guidance and produce technical documents to standardize processes and hardware that are system agnostic for all thread associated with the CAC A&I midpoint capability 

     

     

    Responsibilities

    • Explore innovative ideas, technologies, and processes to integrate into the future midpoint functional architecture (MFA)
    • The SE will address the systems engineering challenge associated with designing, proving, and integrating midpoint next generation concepts
    • Support requirements gathering, system design and architecture, integration, testing, interface standards, CONOPS development, business model development, and security requirements definition for the the MFA initiative
    • Investigate new and innovative technology for applicability to future architecture
    • Engage with internal and external stakeholders and organization to ensure accurate documentation of current and futures architectural requirements
    • Provide analyses of technical alternatives as they affect cost, schedule, performance, and technical risk, to include risk analyses and trade studies
    • Document current midpoint operations and identify a migration path to a converged midpoint architecture

    Qualifications

     *All Candidates must have a TS/SCI clearance with a Polygraph

    • Fifteen (15) years' systems engineering experience supporting customer programs
    • Bachelor’s degree in a Qualified Engineering field: (Aeronautics, Biomedical, Chemical, Civil, Computer, Electrical, Environmental, Mechanical, Nuclear, Software, Systems, and Engineering Management) or a related discipline: (Chemistry, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, and Physics) from an accredited college or university
      • Four (4) years of additional systems engineering experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree
      • A Master's degree or PhD in a qualifying engineering field plus thirteen (13) years of experience

    Individual Capabilities Required:

    • Demonstrated engineering experience, particularly in the areas of architecture, testing, and integration. Experience in documenting system design form approved requirements
    • Experience with conducting technical reviews, analyses of alternative capabilities/technologies technical/programmatic risk assessments, and architectural gap analyses
    • Successful candidates will be detail oriented and exhibit strong organizations skills; must have strong interpersonal and communication skills, including demonstrated ability to comfortably interact with all levels of organization management while operating in a dynamic environment with minimal supervision

    Individual Capabilities Desired:

    • Knowledge of cross-access capabilities
    • INCOSE Systems Engineering Professional certification
