  • Overview

    WOOD is currently hiring a Systems Engineer, Level 5 to join our team in the Ft. Meade, MD area. The Systems Engineer will deliver systems engineering services to plan, execute, test, deploy and sustain processing and analytic capabilities.

     

     

    Responsibilities

    • Manage the introduction of new prototype capabilities and the transition and decommission of legacy technologies
    • Provide support across the division and to external IC partners to ensure transition stakeholder requirements are understood and considered
    • Manage and Support Technology Transition Office process, monitoring and measuring progress through the process, identifying risks and recommending mitigations and supporting planning activities
    • Provide systems engineering services that are consistent with the Technology Transition Office requirements and process

    Qualifications

     

    *All Candidates must have a TS/SCI clearance with a Polygraph

    • Fifteen (15) years' of overall Systems Engineering experience
    • Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in computer science, information systems, engineering or related discipline
    • Five (5) or more years of experience in the creation and refinement of corporate-level processes
    • Three (3) or more years of experience in the development and implementation of requirements management processes and procedures
    • Eight (8) years of experience supporting programs and projects
    • Recent experience in the transition and decommission of legacy software systems
    • Demonstrated systems engineering experience, particularly in the areas of architecture, testing, and integration.

    Individual Capabilities Desired:

    • Three (3) or more years of experience in writing and/or managing Mission needs and /or functional requirements
    • Experience in producing and interpreting architectural documentation
    • Experience in Agile methods and tools (e.g. Jira)
    • Successful candidates will be detail oriented and exhibit strong organization skills; must have strong interpersonal and communication skills, including demonstrated ability to comfortably interact with all levels of organization management while operating in a dynamic environment with minimal supervision
