  • Overview

    WOOD is currently hiring a Systems Engineer to join our team in Annapolis Junction, MD area. The Systems Engineer assists the Digital Attack Surface Execution Environment (DASSE) mission organizations and data architecture teams in gathering requirements for logical and conceptual data models that are crafted using a local model methodology.

    Responsibilities

    • Find, access, review, and process multi-domain data sources
    • Work with analysts and engineers from across the IC to determine data applicability and suitability ingest and processing into the DASEE system
    • Perform complex algorithmic analysis of multiple raw and fused data sets to determine potential heretofore unknown linkages between dissimilar datasets
    • Query SIGINT and ELINE-centric systems to ascertain C4ISR data mission infrastructure
    • Travel to various customer sites to receive software demonstrations, view pertinent dataset, and engage in substantive discussions with analysts on a myriad of topics for DASEE
    • Coordinate, meet, and hold Technical Peer Review with Subject Matter experts (SME) and Stakeholder communities to discuss requirements and models developed
    • Define and analyze data requirements, map legacy data stores and formats to logical data model concepts

     

    Qualifications

    *All Candidates must have a TS/SCI clearance with a Polygraph

    • Twenty (20) years' experience in data or systems engineering in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required
    • Bachelor’s degree in technical field or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required
      • A Master's degree may be substituted for two (2) years of experience, thereby reducing the total years of experience to eighteen (18) years
      • Five (5) years of experience developing CASE tools for model development to include either proprietary ones (ERWin, ERStudio, PowerDesigner) or FOSS ones (ArgoUML, DBDesigner, Umbrello)
    • Successful candidates will be detail oriented and exhibit strong organization skills; must have strong interpersonal and communication skills, including demonstrated ability to comfortably interact with all levels of organization management while operating in a dynamic environment with minimal supervision

     

    Individual Capabilities Desired:

    • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills and the ability to work with a wide variety of customers
    • Must be willing to learn new technologies and maintain and develop technical currency
